About your trip

Join Malka, Adam, Ege, Rachel and your Left Coast Family to Reset in Nature for four days and three nights with Plant Medicine from Peru and Hawaii.

Four Springs Retreat Center in Middletown will host us for this 4 day, 3 night experience! This beautiful center boasts a pool, meditation hall, grape arbor, abundant hiking trails, and comfortable single and double cabins.

We have a beautiful leadership team of Malka, Adam, Ege and Rachel for this trip.

Malka has been leading Plant Medicine ceremonies for 15 years. She trained extensively as a facilitator and was given permission to serve the medicine after doing extensive plant dietas with the Yawanawa tribe of Brazil and the Shipibo tribe of Peru.  She is also initiated as a Priestess of Ifa and Osun. After a delicate dance to harmonize both traditions in right relationship, she uses the tools and resources of both her path with Ifa and with the medicine to guide her as a facilitator.

Our musician Egeman Sanli (also known as Ege) is a contemporary dervish who embarks on a journey to find his own unique sound in the world while proudly representing his own unique Turkish heritage.  He skillfully blends various ethnic instruments such as the sitar, caglama, saz, santor, ngoni, flutes, kora and much more.

Our musician Adam Kurzfeld is a singer songwriter, yoga instructor, massage therapist, doctoral Acupuncture student as well as student/practitioner of Ayurveda, and father of 2. His musical offerings range from original creations to Vedic mantras; Lakota songs to Hebrew chants, Kirtan music, and beyond. He is grateful to be a part of the effulgent healing web that connects all life on this verdant planet and beyond.

Our retreat begins Thursday at 4pm and will go thru Sunday around Noon. We do request that everyone stay to the end to assist with cleanup, and participate in our closing circle.

Itinerary:

Thursday afternoon, arrive anytime after 4pm to set up and enjoy a gentle Yin Yoga class with breathwork to ground and center us. We will begin our first ceremony of the weekend around 8pm and it will go until 3am in the Ceremony Hall. Our facilitators will guide us in a curated and healing Plant Medicine ceremony accompanied by a variety of instruments for an immersive and healing experience. We will offer a simple yet nourishing meal before sleep.

Friday: Sleep in, enjoy a leisurely breakfast, and meet for gentle stretching and meditation followed by our first afternoon Integration Session. We will all share our experience from the evening before and how we are integrating the teachings. Relax the rest of the day, nap, or take a gentle hike to enjoy the surroundings and community. At 8pm, we will begin the second of our two ceremonies, to deepen the healing that began the previous night.

Saturday: Sleep in, enjoy a leisurely breakfast and meet for gentle stretching and meditation followed by our second afternoon Integration Session. We will all share our experience from the evening before and how we are integrating the teachings.  After resting, we will enjoy a hearty dinner, conversation and music, and head to bed on the early side to rest the body.

Sunday morning, after a good night's sleep, we will open with a hearty breakfast, yoga class, closing circle, and cleanup. We will send you off with amazing vibes to the default world, until we see you again next season!

Please note: we will be offering 2 Community Potlucks: one a few days before, to Meet n Greet the group, and about one month post-retreat to share your experience.

We will also send out a RideShare board and ask everyone to please carpool, as we have limited parking at the Retreat venue.

Once your deposit has been put down, we will require a Waiver / Questionnaire to be filled out by all participants via GoogleForms and a short intake interview to be conducted with our facilitator Malka for all first timers. We also will ask you to please join our private group on Signal for all future communication.

We are excited to meet you and gather with you soon. Note: the ceremony begins once you decide to join. Please be mindful of what your intentions are and what is arising in your life.  It is all a part of the ceremony.  Please be gentle with yourself and create practices witnessing the experience without responding. Meditation and Yoga are highly recommended. These tools of witnessing will be highly valuable in our ceremony weekend.  Feel free to reach out via this site with any questions!
